Bayview Management is pleased to announce that we will begin offering Obligo as an optional part of our rental application and move-in process. Obligo provides qualified renters with an alternative to paying a traditional security deposit upfront. Instead of having a large amount of money held for the duration of the lease, eligible residents may authorize charges through Obligo if unpaid rent or tenant-caused damages occur. Residents retain the right to dispute charges, just as they would with a traditional security deposit.
This option may provide residents with greater financial flexibility by allowing them to keep their deposit funds available for saving, investing, moving expenses, or other needs. Most renters can determine eligibility by securely connecting a U.S. bank account.
Participation Is Completely Optional
Bayview Management does not require applicants or residents to participate in Obligo. Applicants who prefer a traditional security deposit may continue to use that option. Bayview Management will not charge an additional application or administrative fee for making Obligo available. Obligo’s own service terms and any applicable service charges will be disclosed directly to residents before enrollment.
Current tenants and future applicants will receive additional information explaining:
How the Obligo program works
Eligibility and enrollment requirements
Traditional security deposit alternatives
Resident responsibilities for unpaid rent or damages
How to accept or decline the optional program
Offering Obligo is part of Bayview Management’s continuing effort to make the rental and move-in process more convenient while preserving transparency, resident choice, and accountability.
